Brazil Airline Embraer targets growth in Indian market, engages with IndiGo, Air India: Reports
Brazilian multinational aerospace corporation, Embraer, is planning to expand in India and strengthen ties with IndiGo and Air India, as per reports.The company has reportedly established a fully-owned Indian subsidiary with its corporate office in Delhi.In an interview with an Indian news agency, Embraer CEO Francisco Gomes Neto reportedly said that the company is preparing to deploy a team to explore opportunities within the Indian supply chain.He noted that India is the third-largest aviation market in the world and offers numerous opportunities for future growth, which the company is keen to explore.The CEO emphasised Embraer’s intention to deepen collaboration with India, as per reports.Additionally, the Head of Region for Asia Pacific at Embraer Commercial Aviation, Raul Villaron, mentioned in the interview that discussions with IndiGo and Air India are currently underway.Embraer believes there is significant potential for growth in bilateral trade between India and Brazil, which is currently modest. The company sees various opportunities, supported by the longstanding relationship between the two nations and their shared membership in BRICS.
