Bomb hoax at BAPS Swaminarayan temple at Bharuch rooted in family dispute
A bomb hoax at Jhadeshwar BAPS temple in Bharuch turned out to be having stemmed from a family dispute. An anonymous caller gave a bomb threat for the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple on NH8, Jhadeshwar, Bharuch on Wednesday.The police urgently responded and launched an investigation and tracked the origin of the call - Dahej Bypass Road. A suspect, Tosif Adam Patel, was arrested for falsely claiming that four individuals were plotting a blast at the temple in the Jhadeshwar area.During police interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had orchestrated the entire plot to take revenge due to a family dispute. His intention was to frame his brother and brother-in-law. Patel made the threatening calls from Dahej Bypass Road. He confessed that there was no actual bomb in the temple and that he made the calls solely to falsely implicate others.Bharuch Deputy Superintendent of Police Dr Anil Sisara told media that following the threat, seperate teams conducted a thorough investigation at the temple premises but no suspicious object was found during the search.As per reports, Bharuch Police have registered a case under BNS Sections 217 and 353(2) at the “C” Division Police Station.
