US President Donald Trump threatened tech giant Apple with a 25% tariff if it manufactures iPhones in India or any other country.“I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone’s that will be sold in the United  States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else. If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the US. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he wrote on Truth Social on Friday evening.Recently, Trump had a “little problem” with Tim Cook, and he told the Apple CEO that he does not want him to build iPhones in India.Speaking at a business roundtable in Doha, Trump said, “I said to him (Cook), my friend, I am treating you very good. You are coming up with $500 billion, but now I hear you are building all over India. I don’t want you building in India.”Notably, the high-end mobile company announced that it will invest $500 billion (₹41.5 lakh crore) in the United States over the next four years. Apple also confirmed plans to hire 20,000 new employees, marking its largest domestic investment to date.Apple’s initiative comes after Donald Trump threatened to impose an additional 10% tariff on Chinese imports. “As a proud American company, we’re thrilled to continue to make significant investments in the US.
