Canadian President Mark Carney reportedly expressed interest in the project, saying Canada would consider investing in it for improved national safety and development.To which Donald Trump in a post on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, Trump wrote:“I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion Dollars if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State. They are considering the offer!”Trump’s remarks have sparked fresh international discussion, though no official response from the Canadian government has been issued. While the idea of Canadian statehood has long been considered far-fetched, Trump has previously floated similar suggestions, often blending geopolitical commentary with domestic political strategy.
