Rajkot influencer accuses BJP leader of abuse after father’s death, claims police not taking action
Kristina PatelA Mumbai-based fashion and lifestyle creator, Kristina Patel, originally hailing from Rajkot, has made serious allegations against a BJP leader and the police. In a video posted on social media, she claimed, “Even though my mother’s life is in danger, the police are not registering our complaint. My father’s elder brother is acting like a thug. He broke into our home and attacked us over a property dispute. He has been harassing me and my mother.”Patel shared her ordeal on Instagram, claiming, “After my father’s death, I’ve had to face a lot. His family members took all the property. I didn’t react to that — we’ve taken legal action just like anyone else would. I now live in Mumbai while my mother lives alone in Rajkot. My elder uncle, Bipin Amrutiya, along with his brother Anand Amrutiya and Dinesh Amrutiya, attacked my mother. We called the police, but they refused to take any action or even register a complaint. We tried reaching out to the police commissioner, but no action has been taken.”Alleging political influence, Kristina further said, “My uncle is associated with the BJP. Does being in politics give someone the right to even commit murder? What would I have done if something had happened to my mother? Why is the police not registering a complaint? I want answers. If someone’s life is in danger, why won’t the police take action, just because he’s in the BJP? Please don’t misuse your political position. Just because you’re in politics, does that mean you can take someone’s life? I don’t know what to do anymore. I live in Mumbai, my mother is in Rajkot, and I’m requesting Gujarat Police to take action and ensure her safety — this is the least they can do.”Who is the accused BJP leader?Patel’s uncle Dinesh Amrutiya is the BJP in-charge of Jasdan. She has alleged that “because Dinesh Amrutiya is in the BJP, the police refuse to register our complaint or take any action”. She also attached a video of the accused entering her home.
