Mumbai jeweller in possession of gold worth ₹3.43 cr nabbed at Vadodara railway station
A jeweller from Mumbai travelling in Vande Bharat Express was caught at Vadodara railway station while carrying gold bangles worth ₹3.43 crore, after which the Vadodara railway police detained him and began an investigation.According to information, during routine checks, the railway police were monitoring passengers as the Vande Bharat Express arrived, and many passengers deboarded at Vadodara station. They noticed a passenger named Mohit Sindhvi carrying a bag and questioned him about its contents. Upon searching the bag, they found the gold bangles.When asked to produce bills for the bangles, he was unable to provide them.He informed the police that he is a jeweller and owns Mohar Jewellers in Postal Colony, Chembur, Mumbai. He had come to Vadodara to show these bangles to local jewellers.The police have seized the bangles and have begun further investigation into the matter.
