Former BJP MLA urges Gujarat Police to take action against bootleggers in Kheda

In the video, he said, “Today, on the Kheda-Tarapur road at Varukans Crossroads in Matar constituency, the police are stopping common people from nearby villages and conducting checks.”“I want to tell the Home Minister of the state, Harsh Sanghavi, to instruct the police to stop harassing ordinary citizens and instead take action against the bootleggers who are openly selling liquor. These bootleggers should be caught and strict action should be taken against them,” he added.He also warned, “If the liquor dens are not shut down within 10 days, I will go and raid them myself.” The BJP leader also accused the police, saying that even when bootleggers are caught, they are soon released. He alleged that the police only file nominal cases and then release the accused.Solanki has pointed fingers at the police and held them responsible for the flourishing liquor trade. His strong remarks have stirred the local political landscape.
