According to court filings, Plasencia admitted that Perry froze and experienced a spike in blood pressure after receiving an injection, yet the doctor left additional ketamine for Perry’s assistant to administer.Plasencia had earlier also agreed to a plea deal in the case and now can face up to 40 years in prison and a potential fine of up to $2 million. He also reportedly acknowledged in court that his actions fell below the professional standards expected in medical care.Matthew Perry, best known for his role in Friends, was found unresponsive in his hot tub and later pronounced dead. An autopsy revealed that Perry died from the acute effects of ketamine, with other contributing factors including the effects of buprenorphine and the presence of coronary artery disease.
