On June 12, 2025, an Air India aircraft crashed in Ahmedabad during the afternoon. The tragic incident resulted in the death of over 270 people, including former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani. The plane, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London, took off at 1.38 pm and crashed just two minutes later at 1.40 pm.
