183 COVID-19 patients added in 10 days, Gujarat stands fourth in country with 190 positive cases
Gujarat witnessed 183 COVID-19 cases in the last 10 days, ranking 4th in the country.The total number of cases has now increased to 190, with the highest number—131 cases—reported from Ahmedabad.According to reports, a total of 131 COVID-19 active cases are from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, 15 from Rajkot Municipal Corporation, 10 from Jamnagar Municipal Corporation, 6 from Mehsana, 5 from Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, 4 from Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation, 3 from Kutch, 2 from Banaskantha, 2 from Kheda, and 1 new case each from Anand, Bharuch, Patan, and Valsad.On May 19, the COVID-positive count in Gujarat was just 7. However, in the last 10 days, the number of COVID-positive cases has increased by around 183. Testing is currently underway to determine which variant is responsible for the infections. So far, only one patient has been officially found to have a new variant.As per reports, the most COVID patients are being treated at home.
