Rave party busted in Udaipur, 36 Gujaratis among 50 caught by police

Nai Police in Rajasthan’s Udaipur busted a rave party and arrested 36 Gujaratis at Hotel Ganesh located on Kodiyat Road on August 2.On the night of the incident, based on a tip-off that the party’s organiser, Vishwajit Solanki, had arranged women to perform mujra – provocative dance – and engage in prostitution, the Nai Police Station launched a raid. There were also reports that illegal liquor was being served at the hotel. Acting on this, the police sent an under-cover officer as customer to verify the claims.Following confirmation, a raid was carried out, triggering chaos at the scene. Some individuals climbed to the rooftop to evade police, while others attempted to flee but were caught. The arrested individuals had reportedly come from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, and other places.Police seized illegal liquor, sound systems, and three large vehicles from the hotel. The bus used to transport people from Gujarat was also seized. Charges have been filed under laws related to prostitution, the Excise Act, and various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
