Amid rumours and wild speculations regarding the divorce of former US President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, the duo cleared the air in her podcast, In My Opinion (IMO).In the latest episode that dropped on Wednesday, she invited her husband, Barack Obama.During the podcast, they reportedly addressed the ongoing heated rumours regarding their divorce.Sarcastically, Craig Robinson, Michelle’s co-host, said, “Wait, you guys like each other?” Rolling her eyes, Michelle replied, “Oh yeah, the rumour mill.”Playing along in the sarcastic game, Barack said, “She took me back! It was touch and go for a while.” To which Craig responded, “It’s so nice to have you both in the same room together,” prompting Michelle to add, “I know, ’cause when we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced.”According to the BBC, Michelle said, “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man”.Notably, speculation about a split between the pair emerged earlier this year after the former first lady was notably absent from several major events, including Donald Trump’s inauguration and the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter.The couple, married since 1992, have daughters Sasha and Malia. According to a June 2025 Elle report, their marriage was ‘one of the most famous political marriages of the modern era’. They served the White House for over 30 years. It all began when the pair met at a Chicago law firm in 1989. ‘It was love at first sight’ for Barack, as per the French magazine.
