Union minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence receives bomb threat, one arrested

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s residence in Nagpur received a bomb threat, prompting a police investigation. The threat was made via a call to Nagpur Police's emergency helpline number 112, after which police conducted a thorough search of his home.The bomb threat was made against Gadkari’s residence Enrico Heights, located on Wardha Road, at 8.46 am on Sunday. The call came from an unknown person to the police control room.Upon receiving the threat, the police immediately launched action. The Pratap Nagar Police Station was informed, and officials reached the minister’s house to conduct a search. No suspicious object was found during the search operation.According to Zone-1 DCP Rishikesh Reddy, a case has been registered against the unknown caller.The accused was reportedly arrested shortly after the threat was issued. Police confirmed his involvement and have taken him into custody for further questioning.Notably, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is currently in Nagpur, and in light of the threat, police have tightened security arrangements around his residence. A detailed investigation is ongoing.This is not the first time such threats have been issued. In the past, several VVIPs and important locations have also received bomb threats.Earlier, on July 13, a person was arrested for issuing a bomb threat to Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan. The accused, Mohammad Meraj (21), was a resident of Bheeda village in Begusarai district of Bihar.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari’s residence in Nagpur received a bomb threat, prompting a police investigation. The threat was made via a call to Nagpur Police's emergency helpline number 112, after which police conducted a thorough search of his home.

The bomb threat was made against Gadkari’s residence Enrico Heights, located on Wardha Road, at 8.46 am on Sunday. The call came from an unknown person to the police control room.
