Failing to detect a fake bomb planted on the premises during the drill, seven police personnel, including constables and head constables were reportedly suspended in disciplinary action.

Five Bangladeshis arrested

In a separate incident, five Bangladeshi nationals, who were  trying to enter the Red Fort, were also arrested, as per reports.

PM calls for citizen’s thoughts

Meanwhile, ahead of Independence Day celebrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon citizens to contribute their thoughts and suggestions for his annual address from the Red Fort.

In a message shared on social media, PM Modi wrote on X: “As we approach this year’s Independence Day, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians!
