Dadra and Nagar Haveli Invites Applications for Temporary Firecracker Sale Licenses for Diwali 2025

Silvassa, September 11, 2025 – As part of the preparations for the upcoming Diwali 2025 celebrations, the District Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has invited applications for temporary licenses to store and sell firecrackers from temporary shops, in accordance with Rule 84 of the Explosives Rules, 2008.


In an official press note, Sub-Divisional Magistrate & Resident Deputy Collector (Khanvel), Mr. Dinesh Kumar Muhal, announced that the applications must be submitted in the prescribed Form AE-5, as specified under Rule 113 of the Explosives Rules, 2008, along with the following documents:


Required Documents for Application:

1. Shop Layout Plan:

Should include:

Storage capacity, access route, and nearby facilities.

Compliance with Sub-rule (3) of Rule 86:

"Licensed premises for storing and selling firecrackers must be located at a minimum distance of 15 meters from any premises used for storage of similar explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials."


2. Proof of Occupancy:

Documentary evidence under Rule 2(37).

Passport-sized photograph of the occupant.


3. License Fee:

₹200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) as per Schedule IV, Part 2.


4. Declaration of Compliance:

A written undertaking to adhere to all applicable rules and conditions.

Last Date to Submit Application: October 10, 2025
