Gujarat woman en route Mahakumbh dies in road accident near Prayagraj
Devotees from across the country and abroad, including Gujarat, have gathered in large numbers to take a holy dip at the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.Meanwhile, an accident was reported near Chitrakoot involving a car carrying devotees from Navsari to the Mahakumbh.A woman hailing from Gujarat lost her life, while seven others sustained minor to moderate injuries. The Uttar Pradesh Police are currently investigating the incident.According to reports, Swati Patel, a resident of Jalaram Nagar Society in Navsari, was travelling with her relatives to participate in the Mahakumbh.On Sunday night, near Chitrakoot, another car coming from behind attempted to overtake their vehicle and banged into their car. Patel suffered severe head injuries and was immediately rushed for treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries after being treated for a brief period. Meanwhile, the seven injured individuals were being treated at a hospital . Patel’s wish to take part in the holy Mahakumbh remained unfulfilled. Her mortal remains were brought back to Navsari, where her final rites were performed.
