Miss England Milla Magee, who had to leave the Miss World contest midway due to personal reasons, reportedly stated in an interview with the British tabloid ‘The Sun’ that the organisers and the overall environment made her ‘feel like a prostitute’.In the interview, she mentioned that contestants were expected to wear makeup 24/7.She said she felt like she was being farmed out for entertainment.Milla further explained that she had joined the competition to make a difference but felt like they were made to ‘perform like monkeys’.She added that she gave up and decided to stand against it when they were asked to ‘entertain middle-aged men as a thank you for sponsoring the show’.Miss World is supposed to stand for values, she said, but explained that there were two girls assigned to each table of male guests, and they were expected to sit with them for the entire evening to entertain them – which made her feel like a prostitute.In response, the Miss World organisers stated that Milla had left because her mother was unwell. They said they understood her emergency and arranged swift transportation back to the UK. They also mentioned that they will be releasing unedited footage of the time she was at the event, showing that she was happy during her stay, and added that the video will speak for itself.
