Dumper runs over college girl in Rajkot, driver flees spot
A reckless dumper driver ran over a college-going girl, killing her on the spot in Rajkot on Wednesday morning.As per the available information, Juhi Nadiapara along with her friend was on the way to college. Juhi’s father had dropped her at Hanuman Madhi Chowk when a speeding dumper crashed into her. Juhi succumbed to her injuries.She was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.The dumper driver has been on the run since the accident.The Gandhigram police have started a probe into the matter, and efforts are underway to nab the dumper driver.Meanwhile, there has been a surge in accident cases in Gujarat. On July 5, a 31-year-old man died in a tragic road accident near Palladium Mall in Ahmedabad after being struck by an unidentified auto-rickshaw while descending the Sola Bridge.The incident occurred around 3.30 pm when the victim, identified as Chandu Vaghabhai Nathi, a resident of Ghatlodia and a professional driver, was riding his two-wheeler down the bridge towards Palladium Mall. An unidentified rickshaw allegedly rammed into his vehicle from behind, causing him to lose control and collide with a four-wheeler.
