Three of a family, including pregnant woman, killed in accident near Bhavnagar
A tragic road accident occurred on Friday morning near Kanpar village, Bhavnagar, in which three members of a family from Amreli, including a pregnant woman, lost their lives. The family was travelling from Ahmedabad to Babra in two separate cars, when one of the cars got into an accident.According to reports, Bhupat Borsaniya (80), originally from Matirala village in Lathi taluka, had been residing in Babra for some time. On Thursday, he was travelling with his grandson Jay (30) and Jay’s wife Ekta (28) in a car. In another car, relatives of Bhupat, Dhruv and his wife Drashti were also headed to Babra.The accident occurred near Kanpar village in Vallabhipur taluka, when an Eicher truck collided with their car. The collision caused severe injuries to the three passengers – Bhupat, Jay, and Ekta.Emergency services rushed the victims to the Vallabhipur Government Hospital via 108 ambulance. Bhupat was declared dead on arrival by the attending doctor. Jay and Ekta, who was also pregnant were given initial treatment and referred to Bhavnagar for further care, where both succumbed to their injuries during treatment.Harsh Borsaniya, a resident of Babra, has filed a police complaint at Vallabhipur Police Station against the driver of the truck. Authorities have begun an investigation into the incident.According to family members, Ekta was pregnant, and the couple had been traveling to Babra for her upcoming baby shower ceremony scheduled on May 7.
