What was meant to be a short spiritual trip to the Valley turned tragic when a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 claimed the lives of Yatish and his 17-year-old son Smit, who were among the 26 people killed by terrorists.Kavya, the wife of Yatish and mother of Smit, praised the Indian Army on Wednesday after Operation Sindoor. She expressed her sorrow, saying, “What happened to me should not happen to any mother or sister in this country. The bravery with which the army avenged the Pahalgam incident has brought me great peace. I am proud of the courage shown by our soldiers, and it feels like the terrorists have been completely wiped out.”Her other son, Abhi, also lauded ‘Operation Sindoor’, expressing pride in how the terrorists were given a fitting response right inside their territory. He said, “In the terrorist attack, I lost both my father and my brother. They were killed after being asked about their religion. But the Indian Army has sent those terrorists straight to hell without asking about their religion. This brave act by our army has brought a true tribute to my father and brother, even if 15 days later.”
