Bad weather alert: Schools to remain shut across Jammu division on 19 August

All schools in the Jammu division will remain closed tomorrow (19 August) in view of the inclement weather alert by the authorities.

The Director, School Education, Jammu, has ordered that all government and private schools across the Jammu division shall remain closed due to inclement weather.

It is worth mentioning that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of cloudbursts, flash-floods, landslides and heavy rains till 19 August in many parts of J&K.

Meanwhile, the Director School Education, Kashmir, has issued a list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and asked all education institutions to implement these to ensure safety of students and staff in view of the recent incidents of cloudburst.
