Another Thar kills minor in Jammu

On 17.08.2025, one vehicle Mahindra Thar bearing registration No. JK02DK/5307, being driven by Rakesh Sharma S/o Ram Das R/o Dharamkhoo, in a rash and negligent manner on the road from Marjali to Tersha Talab, hit a boy namely Harsh Singh S/o Ramesh Singh R/o Tersha Talab, aged about 8 years.

As a result of the accident, the boy sustained critical injuries and was immediately shifted to SDH Bhalwal. He was later referred to GMC Jammu, where doctors declared him brought dead.

In this regard, FIR No. 79/2025 U/S 281/106 BNS has been registered at Police Station Gharota, and investigation has been taken up. The accused driver Rakesh Sharma has been arrested, the vehicle seized, and his medical examination conducted
